Official ceremony awarding professor Lech Michał Rościszewski with the “The Forge’s Anvil”

“The Forge” Association and Jewish Community Center of Krakow invite you to the official ceremony during which professor Lech Michał Rościszewski will be honored with “The Forge’s Anvil” award.
Professor Lech Michał Rościszewski (born in 1925) fought in the Armed Resistance (Związek Walki Zbrojnej), later - the Home Army (Armia Krajowa), in the Kedyw (Kierownictwo Dywersji - Directorate of Diversion) Unit and “The Rock” Unit, He has been recognized as the Righteous Among the Nations of the World. After the war, he worked as a professor of architecture and urban planning, well-known as an outstanding practitioner in the field. He is one of the leaders of the reformatory wing of PZPR (Polish United Workers' Party) in Silesia, and a member of “The Forge” Association.

“The Forge’s Anvil” is the official award of the first, between 1976 and 1983, “The Forge” Club of Artists and Cultural Activists, and then, since 1989, “The Forge” Association. This award honors the achievements and contributions of prominent members of the Association, both individuals and institutions, public figures and opinion leaders in the cultural sphere.

The event is co-organized together with “The Forge” Association.
