A lecture by Dr. Ewa Węgrzyn, "Postwar Immigration of Polish Jews to Israel. The Causes and the Course of the Migration, and Adapting to the New Homeland".

Ewa Węgrzyn works at the Department of Jewish Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow where she researches the topic of this discussion. She has been a partner of JCC Krakow for years. Ms. Węgrzyn also teaches modern Hebrew at the JCC and the Jagiellonian University.


Opening of an exhibition of photographs by Jacek Olejnik, "Polanim Chadashim - The Chosen Land"

The works of Jacek Olejnik depict Poles and Polish Jews who currently live in Tel Aviv, with the vibrancy of the city in the background. Jacek Olejnik graduated from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He worked as a coordinator of "Polish Intercultural Youth Encounters" organized by the Museum of the History of Polish Jews and as a public affairs specialist for the Embassy of Israel in Poland. Currently, he is the First Secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tel Aviv. Mr. Olejnik is a passionate photographer and the winner of a photography contest for diplomats, "Israel Through Foreign Lenses". His works were displayed at the Diaspora Museum in Tel Aviv.
