For the second year in a row, we would like to invite everyone to celebrate the holiday of Chanukah! This year, we've prepared even more Chanukah activities! We’ll have a concert, a lecture, workshops and games... all to celebrate this beautiful holiday.

Come to the JCC on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 5pm to join us for this magical evening.

The program:
5pm - Lighting candles for the 2nd night of Chanukah with Rabbi Avi Baumol
5:15pm - Recital of Chanukah songs performed by the JCC Choir, directed by Michał Szostało
5:30pm-6:45pm - "From the Maccabees to Maccabi. What Does Chanukah Have to Do with Sports?", a lecture by Rabbi Avi Baumol. In English with translation into Polish.
5:30pm-7pm - ChanuCuisine. Cooking workshop - Group #1.
Latkes (potato pancakes), are one of the traditional Chanukah dishes. During our workshop we will prepare several kinds of latkes according to the rules of kashrut. Led by Kasia Leonardi.*
5:30pm-7pm - dREidel recycling workshop.
While decorating dreidels, traditional Chanukah toys, we will find out how people used to celebrate Chanukah and how they do it today. The workshop is open for participants regardless of age! Led by Marcjanna Kubala.*
5:30pm-7:30pm - ChanuCasino. Bingo for senior citizens! Led by Patryk Pufelski.
We would like to invite all seniors to join the game. The traditional Chanukah game is spinning the dreidel (similar to a spinning top). We will play bingo and get to know the story of Chanukah. The contest ends with awards!
7pm-8pm - ChanuSong. Workshop of Chanukah songs.
In Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino... During the workshop, we will have a chance to learn Chanukah songs in different languages. Led by: Michał Szostało.
7pm-8:30pm ChanuCuisine. Cooking workshop. Group #2.

7:30pm-8:30pm Cha-cha-nukah. Dance workshop.
Cha-cha in Israeli dances? It's possible! During the workshop we will find out more about different rhythms of Israeli dance. Led by: Awa Cybulska.*
